It is of the upmost importance that we, as a nation, must ensure our future generations have the privilege of the trees we know and enjoy, just as our predecessors.
Tree planting is an vital aspect of arboriculture and we pride ourselves in providing this service with the essential knowledge for the correct placements of individual species, undertaking pre-planting assessments including soil sampling. Our planting services include hedge rows, indigenous, ornamental and fruiting tree planting.
Trip hazards
After the tree has long been felled, often the very last part remains just below the grass level, hiding and awaiting for somebody to trip upon. Tree stumps can take an incredibly long time to decompose, posing a safety hazard as well as becoming an eyesore or simply being right in the way of your next garden project.
No matter the stumps size or whether it resides in an awkward, hard to reach location. We have it covered and will happily assist in it's safe removal.
Ecological Surveys
We can provide comprehensive ecology service for the surveying of residential and commercial habitats, including the assessment of trees and vegetation for biodiversity.
As with all tree and vegetation clearance, the tree surgeon will conduct a visual assessment looking for any signs of nesting birds. Between March 1st through to July 31st, Natural England declares this as bird nesting season. However this is a guideline and it must be assumed that birds will nest both before and after this period.
During the nesting season it is advisable that works are not carried out, although in some instances this is neither practical or possible. If works arare to be carried out, emphasis is on the client to provide evidence that no nesting birds are present nor will any nearby birds be disturbed by such works. Therefore it is strongly recommended that a survey is conducted by a qualified ecologist. Surveying is also strongly advised for any dead wood / tree felling as this type of environment provides suitable nesting opportunities for bats.
Surveying is conducted by a third party CIEEM accredited ecologist and will be accompanied by a full report of the survey's findings. This service can be requested without works being carried out and used solely for the investigation of a habitat to obtain a biodiversity assessment for all manner of reasons.
